One of these incredible franchisees is Laura Duffy, who owns Junior Einsteins Ontario, serving Durham Region and Peterborough. What inspired you to become a Junior Einsteins franchisee?

“I have always been passionate about education, I have spent all my professional life in education as a teacher then as a principal. I have found STEM education is an essential part of education. When I discovered Junior Einsteins, I immediately fell in love with their hands-on, fun approach, making science exciting and accessible for kids. It is not just about learning—it is about sparking curiosity and creating those ‘wow’ moments that kids remember forever. I wish I had something like this when I was a kid!”

What do you love most about hosting Junior Einsteins events Durham Region & Peterborough Ontario ?

“I love seeing the kids put on their lab coats, goggles, and suddenly, they are scientists! The pure joy in their eyes when an experiment works or when they figure something out. I am so grateful to play a part in these moments that they will remember for potentially the rest of their lives. I love hearing those little gasps and giggles of amazement and the look on the kids’ faces! Moments that make it all worthwhile!

It is not just an event to me; it is a celebration of their potential and future potential.”

What impact do Junior Einsteins events have on children and their families?

“Junior Einsteins STEM Education for kids Ontario is about giving kids experiences that they treasure and that inspire them to dream bigger. Parents tell me all the time that their kids come home talking non-stop about the experiments, sharing what they learned and even trying to recreate them for them and their siblings. It is amazing to see how our events bring families together in curiosity and learning.”

“Junior Einsteins events for kids Ontario are not just fun, they are so much more than education and entertainment. They ignite a passion for STEM and learning in general, they enhance critical thinking skills, foster curiosity, and build confidence, social skills, and teamwork skills. “Junior Einsteins Science Club for kids Ontario offers a wide range of hands-on science experiences for kids, including birthday parties, after-school clubs, exciting March break and holiday camps, interactive school workshops, and summer camps. Each activity is packed with hands-on experiments that kids absolutely love, like lighting a plasma ball lightsabers, making fossils, creating elephant toothpaste, slime-making, and rocket races. Every event is designed to be fun, educational, and unforgettable for children aged 6–12.”
