This privacy policy explains how Junior Einsteins Science Club Ltd. (“we”, “our”, “us”) collects, uses, protects and deletes the personal data you provide when you use our website or book our services. It applies to bookings made anywhere in the Junior Einsteins Science Club® network through our website and booking system.
Our promise, especially about children
Our whole world is children, so we hold ourselves to the highest standard of care with children’s information. We collect the minimum needed to run safe, wonderful events. We never sell personal data. We never use a child’s information for marketing, advertising or profiling of any kind, and children are never contacted directly. Sensitive information about your child is collected shortly before it is needed, used only for their safety, and permanently deleted one month after your event. We follow the child-protection principles set out by the Irish Data Protection Commission, including that the best interests of the child always come before any business interest.
What data do we collect, and why?
When you book: your name and email address, your child’s first name and the event details, together with your payment, which is processed securely by our payment provider (we never see or store your full card details). Legal basis: performance of a contract, and legal obligations for financial records.
Before your event: your child’s age and any allergy, dietary or medical information you choose to share so we can care for your child safely. Legal basis: your explicit consent, given for child safety and used for nothing else.
If you consent to marketing: your name and email address, so we can tell you about camps, clubs, parties and events. Legal basis: consent, withdrawable at any time.
When you browse: limited information via cookies, described below.

How long do we keep your data?
We keep different information for different lengths of time, and no longer than necessary:

Once deleted, this information is permanently removed from our systems and cannot be recovered.
How do we store and protect your data?
Your personal data is stored securely at a data centre located in Ireland. Our website and booking system are professionally maintained, monitored and updated on a regular security schedule. Trusted third-party service providers, such as Stripe (payments) and our email service providers, may process data outside Ireland or the EU; these providers are GDPR-compliant and use appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, to protect your data in line with EU standards.
Franchisees and your data
Junior Einsteins Science Club® events are delivered by franchisees in their local territories. The booking system, website and all associated intellectual property are owned and controlled exclusively by Junior Einsteins Science Club® Ltd, and franchisees access them solely as authorised users. For the personal data collected through the events a franchisee sets up and the bookings they take, that franchisee is the data controller, responsible for its lawful use, retention and deletion under the laws of their territory. Junior Einsteins Science Club® Ltd processes that data on the franchisee’s behalf by hosting and operating the platform, and acts as a controller in its own right only for its own limited purposes: payment and financial records, network administration, and the security of the systems.
Your information is compartmentalised: the booking system shows each franchise business only its own events and bookings, so the franchisee you book with is the only franchisee who can see your family’s information. Every franchisee is bound by data protection obligations in their franchise agreement, adopts a data protection policy consistent with this one, completes mandatory data protection training, and follows the same rule we do: children’s details are deleted one month after each event.
Marketing
If you have consented, we may send you emails about services, events or offers we believe may interest you. You can opt out at any time by clicking unsubscribe in any email or by contacting welcome@junioreinsteinsscienceclub.com, and we act on it immediately.
Your data protection rights

- Erasure: ask us to delete your data (under certain conditions)
