Astronaut Adventures at Rathwood! 🚀🌌 STEM Workshop for Kids in Carlow

Blast off with us on 06 December at Rathwood for our Astronaut Space Explorers & Out of This World Workshop—an interstellar adventure designed for curious kids aged 5-12 who are ready to reach for the stars!

In this thrilling space-themed workshop, children will learn what it takes to become an astronaut and explore the wonders of outer space. They’ll build and test their own model rockets, discover how craters are formed, simulate the effects of zero gravity, and learn about the different planets in our solar system.

From making a galaxy in a bottle and investigating moon rocks to simulating spacewalks, this hands-on session is packed with activities that teach key concepts in physics, planetary science, and engineering—all wrapped in fun, creative experiments.

Lab coats and goggles are provided, transforming each child into a Junior Einstein ready for cosmic discovery.

While the kids explore galaxies and gravitational forces, parents can relax at Rathwood’s café, enjoy boutique shopping, or take a scenic stroll.
