Join us on 05 July 2025 at Rathwood for our exciting Muddy Worms & Bug Hunt Workshop, the latest installment in our engaging monthly science series. This interactive workshop lets young explorers aged 5-12 discover the hidden wonders beneath their feet, learning about worms, insects, and biodiversity in a playful, hands-on way. LOADS OF OUTDOOR FUN!

Children will get hands-on experience investigating different types of soil and discovering the vital role worms play in helping plants grow. They’ll also embark on a fascinating Bug Hunt, exploring Rathwood’s lush grounds to uncover and identify a variety of insects and other small creatures. Equipped with magnifying glasses and guided by curiosity, they’ll learn to appreciate these tiny but essential members of our ecosystem.

Our carefully crafted workshop fosters curiosity, teamwork, and a deeper understanding of nature and science. Plus, each child receives their own lab coat and goggles, truly stepping into the shoes of a Junior Einstein!

While the kids dive into the fascinating world of worms and bugs, parents can relax and enjoy Rathwood’s cozy café, charming shops, or scenic walks. It’s a delightful family day out filled with education, exploration, and fun!
