Junior Astronauts Camp Description
We hope Junior Einsteins are ready for some amazing out-of-this-word fun in our Carlow Junior Astronauts Camp for kids!
During this Junior Astronauts Camp, children will do and make hands-on Science experiments that will be astronomically memorable;
Out of this World – Children will use a model of the solar system, a gravity well, play a fun planet hopping game and create a galaxy in a bottle. This session is designed to help our Junior Einsteins to gain a better understanding of our solar system including the names and sizes of the different planets around us.
Bernouli’s flying Machines – Our ‘Junior Einsteins’ learn about Bernoulli’s effect. They also enjoy our famous ‘Flying Toilet paper’ experiment! Children learn basic concepts about flight such as lift, drag, thrust and gravity by playing a fun active game. Our ‘Junior Einsteins’ take home their own model gliders.
Rocket Races – Children play fun Rocket Relay Races while learning about Jet propulsion. Children see a Coke and Mentos Geyser shoot over 4 m in the air! Children make their own Bottle rockets to launch while learning about Jet propulsion!
Flying Saucers – Children will experience alien flying saucers using a Van Der Graaf generator! Children will learn about electricity.
Light the Lightsabre – Children will try a Plasma Ball lighting a Lightsabre. They will learn about the concept of insulators and conductors and test their ideas themselves.
Suitable for 6-12 year old children. Children are provided with Scientist lab Coats and Goggles at every Science Camp!
We nurture children’s natural curiosity & creativity. We inspire our ‘Junior Einsteins’ to use their imaginations, make a mess, explore and discover in STEM & STEAM areas.
