Fizz, Foam & Glow at Rathwood! 🛁💡 STEM Workshop for Kids in Carlow

Join us on 01 November at Rathwood for our fantastic Bath Fizzers & Luminescent Lava Lamps Workshop—where chemistry meets creativity in a bubbly, glowing adventure for children aged 5-12!

This interactive, hands-on session begins with Bath Fizzers! Young chemists will mix, measure, and mould their very own fizzy bath bombs while learning about chemical reactions, acids and bases, and how carbon dioxide is released to create that satisfying fizz. With colours and scents galore, children will be delighted by the science they can see, smell, and touch.

Then we’ll switch off the lights and turn up the glow! In our Luminescent Lava Lamps activity, kids will explore the science of density and chemical immiscibility as they make their own glowing lava lamps using safe household ingredients. It’s a magical mix of learning and glowing fun—perfect for curious minds!

As always, each child receives a lab coat and goggles to wear throughout the session, transforming them into real Junior Einsteins for a day of colourful discoveries.

Parents can enjoy Rathwood’s relaxing café, browse boutique shops, or take a scenic walk while the kids explore the glowing world of science.
