🇨🇦 Science Literacy Week is a national celebration of science, presented by the Canadian Association of Science Centres (CASC) with educators, libraries, government agencies and STEM leaders across the country. This year’s theme, From Sea to Space, shines a light on the interconnectedness of life on Earth and the importance of curiosity-driven learning. Science Literacy Week Canada October 6–12 is Coming!

We are thrilled that Laura Duffy , owner-operator of Junior Einsteins Science Club® Ontario, Junior Einsteins Durham Region & Peterborough will be bringing high-energy, hands-on STEM experiences to children and families across the Greater Toronto Area, Durham Region, and Peterborough during Science Literacy Week.

Laura and her Junior Einsteins team have built a reputation for sparking wonder through slime-making, rocket races, plasma balls, forensics, fossils, biodiversity adventures, and so much more. For Science Literacy Week, they are preparing an exciting programme of events in Markham, Ajax, Whitby, Oshawa, Courtice, Brooklin, Pickering, and Peterborough. These events will showcase the joy of learning through doing, with children working together in groups to explore science concepts, build problem-solving skills, and develop critical thinking.

Junior Einsteins Science Club® Junior Einsteins Science Club Ltd. is proud to be part of this bold campaign to celebrate Canadian science. By joining Science Literacy Week, Laura and her team connect children and families to stories, experiments, and ideas that shape our planet and our future. Their programmes bring science off the page and into children’s hands—igniting creativity, teamwork, and a lifelong love of discovery.

Together, with CASC and Science Pour Tous in Québec, Science Literacy Week will highlight innovators and educators from coast to coast to coast, ensuring a vibrant, inclusive celebration of science across Canada and de la francophonie.
