Junior Einsteins Science Club® Takes STEM to the Big Leagues with the Toronto Blue Jays
Junior Einsteins Science Club® has always believed that science should be accessible, exciting, and everywhere. This vision came to life in an extraordinary way when our Ontario owner, Laura Duffy, collaborated with the Toronto Blue Jays to bring hands-on science into the heart of Canada’s favourite sport.
What is Junior Jays?
The Junior Jays programme is a special initiative by the Toronto Blue Jays designed to give young fans and their families unforgettable game-day experiences. Before and during home games at the iconic Rogers Centre in Toronto, the Junior Jays Zone transforms into a buzzing family space filled with activities, entertainment, and opportunities for kids to connect with the excitement of baseball. It’s not just about watching the game, it’s about creating memories and building a community of future fans.
Where Science Meets Sport
This season, Laura and her Junior Einsteins Science Club® team were invited to be part of the Junior Jays Zone, giving children a chance to become Junior Jay/Einsteins for the day. Kids and families got to roll up their sleeves and take part in thrilling science experiments, from bubbling slime to rocket races, right alongside the energy of Major League Baseball. ⚾🚀
The collaboration was about more than fun. It showed children that science is not confined to classrooms or labs. Science is everywhere – in the stadium lights, the physics of a baseball pitch, the energy of a roaring crowd – and most importantly, in the curiosity and creativity of every child.
Why This Matters
For Junior Einsteins Science Club®, partnerships like this reflect our core mission: bringing science into unexpected places, sparking wonder, and inspiring children to see themselves as scientists. By connecting STEM with sport, Laura and her team helped reach new families and communities, reinforcing the message that science belongs everywhere and is for everyone.
A Proud Moment
This Junior Einsteins collaboration with the Toronto Blue Jays is not only a huge achievement for Laura Duffy and her Ontario franchise, it’s also a proud milestone for our global Junior Einsteins community. It demonstrates what’s possible when we think big, build strong partnerships, and take every opportunity to inspire young minds.
We are immensely proud of Laura for taking science to the big leagues and we encourage everyone across our network to send her congratulations on this success. It’s a shining example of what can happen when we combine passion for STEM with creativity and community spirit.
