Welcome to Junior Einsteins Science Club!
This after school science club is only for students attending St Matthew’s NS, Cranfield Place, Dublin 4.
Junior Einsteins Science Club term 1 will run on Thursdays 2:10pm -3:10pm for 1st to 6th class students.
Term 1 Dates: Thursday 23rd October to Thursday 11th December 2025 (7 week term)
Price: €94 per child ( * Bookings are online only and on a first come first served basis)
Award-winning hands on science club program. Children are supplied with lab coats, goggles & all scientific equipment. They make & take home their own experiments from science club.
Term 1 curriculum of science experiments include (in order by week);
- Slime science – non Newtonian fluids & cross linking polymerisation
- Light a lightsabre with a plasma ball
- Optical illusions – how the eye tricks the brain
- Rocket launchers & rocket races
- Bernoulli’s flying machines – aerodynamics & flying gliders
- Marble run – momentum, speed & velocity
- Palaeontology – fossil making
- Forensic science – crime scene investigation
- Lava lamps – density & surface tension
- Junior Astronaut training – jet packed fuel, expanding marshmallow man, galaxy in a bottle
- Bridge engineering
- Pigmentation – snowflake chromatography
- Blubber gloves & Arctic animal adaptations
- Geology rocks – grow your own Christmas crystals
