“We teach children how to think, not what to think, thereby effectively preparing them for our ever-changing world. Consequently, our hope is that our ‘Junior Einsteins’ will develop a profound love for Science in Primary School and continue to pursue science through secondary school and beyond. Indeed, we need more scientists!
Everything we do here at Junior Einsteins Science Club stems from our deep passion for bringing STEM to young children in a fun-filled, high-energy way. Moreover, our Summer Camps are exceptionally child-centric, where every child is regarded as our ‘Junior Einsteins’! Additionally, we nurture children’s natural curiosity and creativity, aiming to encourage our ‘Junior Einsteins’ to use their imaginations, explore freely, and make discoveries.
We achieve this through a variety of fantastic interactive experiments. For instance, from Slimy Slime, where children learn about long chain polymerisation and Non-Newtonian fluids, to giving a Barbie Doll a hair-raising experience on a Van Der Graaf generator while teaching them about voltage and current. Furthermore, by lighting a light saber with a plasma ball, children learn firsthand about electricity flow!
We inspire our ‘Junior Einsteins’ to explore a wide range of STEM subjects through hands-on learning experiences: from creating fossils and exploring forensics to studying Arctic animal adaptations, the classification of life, rocket races, bug hunts, illusions, the process of making cartoons, geology, volcanoes, the Bernoulli effect and the principles behind how planes fly, marine biology, and even quantum physics using Nerf guns. Chemistry is another exciting area covered, with activities like PH Purple Power, exothermic reactions to create elephant’s toothpaste, Coke & Mentos geysers, experiments with magnets and light, anatomy studies, giant smoke cannons, and engineering projects covering both STEM and STEAM disciplines. Learning through these activities is incredibly enjoyable! Moreover, children wear lab coats and goggles for safety, ensuring an authentic scientific experience. Furthermore, there’s plenty of outdoor fun, especially during the summer term.”
