Mullingar Summer Science Camp – 5th-9th July

Where?  Walshestown Community Centre, Walshestown North, Mullingar (N91 YT20)

When? Monday 5th – Friday 9th July; 10am – 2pm daily

Price: €150 per child.

PLEASE NOTE: All of our events are operating in line with strict adherence to public health & government guidelines. Spaces are extremely restricted at each of our Summer camps & outdoor events. Social distancing, PPE & Covid 19 health & safety plan implemented. Covid 19 & infection control specialist assigned to each of our events.

Slime making (Non Newtonian fluids, stretchy polymer slime), bubbling exothermic reactions, elephants toothpaste, the Bernoulli effect: how planes & rockets fly, model airplane gliders, fascinating forensics CSI crime scene investigation, mechanical engineering: designing & engineering bridges, marble run, freaky fossils, space adventure science party, coke & mentos EXPLOSION, giant smoke cannons, awesome anatomy: the pumping heart, Dr Bones & gross digestion!  Outdoor bug hunts, earth science, environmental science: the greenhouse gas effect, biodiversity: quadrant, wildflower SEED BOMBS, pollutant detectives, soil erosion & LOTS more!

Our summer camps are suited for children aged 6 – 12 years old. We split the children into two groups: 6-9 year olds (ATOMS) & 10-12 year olds (MOLECULES). Children are supplied with their own lab coat, goggles & gloves. They take part in each experiment, make their own & take home an experiment with them each day from science camp. Weather permitting, we will be outdoors as much as possible.
