Spooky Science is coming to Luxembourg for the Toussaint holidays. Our Halloween Science Camp runs Monday 2nd to Friday 6th November, and it runs from 9am to 1pm every day. Because it lands right inside the school break, five of your mornings are covered. Meanwhile your child will make slime monsters, bubble up vampire blood, glow in the dark and solve a crime scene. In short, this is the gooiest and most gruesome week of science your child will have all year.
- Venue: Laborartorium, 24 Rue Geespelt, 3378 Livange Roeser, Luxemburg
- Dates & times: Monday 2nd to Friday 6th November, 9am to 1pm daily
- Cost: €350 for the week
- Age groups: suitable for 5-11 year olds, grouped by age. The ATOMS are 5-8 year olds and the MOLECULES are 9-11 year olds.
- Places: limited seats left, on the full week and on single mornings. Book early to be sure of a place.
- Language: camp is delivered in English and in French. Our instructor works in French with the French speaking children, in the same group, so your child does science in the language they are most comfortable in.
Our venue: Laborartorium, Livange
Spooky Science runs at Laborartorium, the science and nature experience gallery in Livange. In fact, it is the same venue as our Luxembourg launch and our summer camp. Inside there is a whole world built around nature, the universe and curiosity. Best of all, parking is easy and the A3 is only minutes away.

A whole week of the school holidays, sorted
The Toussaint break runs from Saturday 31st October to Sunday 8th November. That is a long week to fill. Therefore we fill five mornings of it with hands-on science. As a result, your child comes home tired, messy and full of stories. Meanwhile, you get your mornings back.
What will your child do?
First of all, here is what lands on the bench. Disgusting pet slime monsters, witches slime and polymer cross-linking, swamp creature slime, witches snot, bubbling vampire blood, glowing eyeballs and the science of phosphorescence, spooky smoke ghosts, luminescent lava lamps, alien flying saucers and aerodynamics, a Frankenstein doll and simple circuits, skeleton anatomy and x-raying, fossils and palaeontology, forensic crime scene investigation, static electricity with our Van de Graaff generator, plasma ball lightsabers, and lots more hands-on science experiments covering all STEM subjects.
Of course, every experiment teaches real science. Your child will meet polymers, chemical reactions, non-Newtonian fluids, light and glow reactions, aerodynamics, physics, circuits and basic engineering. Meanwhile, they will just think they are making monsters.
A week of spooky science, day by day
| Monday | Monster making. Your child starts with disgusting pet slime monsters, witches slime, swamp creature slime and witches snot. In other words, this is polymer science and non-Newtonian fluids in disguise. Take home: your own pet slime monster. |
| Tuesday | Blood and bones. Next come bubbling vampire blood, skeleton anatomy, x-raying and real stethoscopes. As a result, your child finds out what is going on inside them. Take home: a vial of vampire blood. |
| Wednesday | Glow and ghosts. Then come glowing eyeballs, phosphorescence, luminescent lava lamps, spooky smoke ghosts and plasma ball lightsabers. Best of all, some of it glows in the dark. Take home: your own glowing eyeball. |
| Thursday | Aliens and electricity. Alien flying saucers, the science of flight and a Frankenstein doll brought to life with simple circuits. On top of that, hair raising static from our Van de Graaff generator. Take home: your alien flying saucer. |
| Friday | Forensics and fossils. A crime scene to solve, fingerprints to lift, fossils to dig and palaeontology to puzzle over. Finally, the week ends with Graduation. Take home: your Junior Einstein certificate. |
Every day runs to the same fun packed rhythm. First, there are four hands-on experiments. Then come a snack break and a lunch break. Also, children wear a lab coat and safety goggles every single day, just like real scientists.
Finally, each Junior Einstein will be presented with a certificate of completion at graduation on Friday!
Cannot do the whole week? Book one spooky morning for €80
Maybe you can only make it to the Toussaint break for a day or two. Or maybe your child just wants a taste of Spooky Science before jumping in for the whole week. Either way, you can now book a single morning for €80. Every day is its own adventure with its own experiments and its own creation to take home, so nobody misses a beat by joining for just one day.
A full week at €350 works out at €70 a day, so the week still stretches your money furthest. Limited seats left, on the week and on the single days. Every single-day scientist gets a lab coat and goggles too, just like the rest of the group.

What to bring
Before the first morning, here is the short list to pack.
- A packed lunch and a snack
- A water bottle
- Clothes that can get a little messy (lab coats and goggles are provided)
- Costumes are very welcome, as long as your child can still work safely in a lab coat and goggles
