Dunboyne – 5 week Wednesday Science Club – 1st to 29th March

Award winning science club program with Junior Einsteins Science Club at the Oak Centre, Dunboyne runs from 1st March each Wednesday!

Where? The Oak Centre, Castlefarn, Maynooth Road, Dunboyne

When? Every Wednesday 6pm -7:30pm from 1st March to 29th March

Price: €85 per child

Walking on water, surface tension & capillary action, blossoming beans, seed secrets, muddy worms; soil science, the light spectrum: rainbows (take home light diffraction glasses), pH indicators, DNA banana extraction, exothermic eruptions & lots of fun, hands on science experiments!

Our science clubs are suited for children aged 5– 11 years old. We split the children into two groups: 6-8 year olds (ATOMS) & 9-11 year olds (MOLECULES). Children are supplied with their own lab coat, goggles & scientific equipment to conduct the experiments. They take part in each experiment, make their own & take home an experiment with them from science club.

Our Science Clubs  are very child-centric and all of our children are our ‘Junior Einsteins’ ! We nurture children’s natural curiosity & creativity. We inspire our ‘Junior Einsteins’ to use their imaginations, make a mess, explore and discover. We do this through fantastic interactive experiments from Slimy Slime where children learn about long chain polymerisation and Non-Newtonian fluids. A Barbie Doll gets a hair raising experience on a Van Der Graaf generator while children learn about voltage and current. Lighting a light sabre with a plasma ball we learn how electricity flows! We inspire our ‘Junior Einsteins to explore a broad range of STEM subjects learning by doing; Fossil making, Forensics & DNA Extraction,  Classification of Life, Rocket Races, Bug Hunts, Illusions and how cartoons are made, Geology and Volcanoes,  Bernoulli’s effect and how planes fly, marine biology, quantum physics using Nerf guns.  Chemistry ;  PH Purple Power & Exothermic reactions making elephant’s toothpaste, Coke & Mentos Geysers, Magnets, Light, Junior Medics & Anatomy, Giant Smoke Cannons, Engineering, covering STEM & STEAM areas. Learning through tons of fun! LOTS of OUTDOOR Fun !
