Egg-citing experiments for our 5 day Easter science camp in Glenageary!
Day 1: Easter Science & Junior Medics: Rainbow science: light diffraction glasses, Newton’s colour wheel, gross digestion: plate to poop! pumping heart, Dr Einspine: the human skeletal system, take a deep breath – human respiration
Day 2: Easter Science & Junior Engineers: Optical illusions: how the eye tricks the brain,. Cartoon thaumatropes: how cartoons are made! Bernoulli’s principles of flight, marble run races: momentum, speed & velocity, bridge engineering & wind turbine engineering.
Day 3: Easter Science & Junior Chemists: Engineer Easter bunny toothpaste exothermic reaction! The pH scale: red cabbage pH indicators, acids & bases, cola & mentos explosion, water surface tension, vicious volcanic eruptions, bubbleology & capillary action!
Day 4: Easter Science & Junior Astronauts: Pneumatic Easter bunnies! Out of this world solar system, make your own galaxy in a bottle, junior astronaut training, rocket races & rocket launchers, expanding mini marshmallow man!
Day 5: Easter Science & Junior Ecologists: Egg smashing, walking on eggs, the egg drop challenge! Geology rocks: make your own crystals, frog dissection: educational models, Secchi’s pollutant detectives, Arctic animal adaptations & blubber gloves, bug hunt scavenge!
Lots of fun, hands on Easter themed science experiments daily!
