Today marked an inspiring gathering at Croke Park for the Women in STEM Summit 2024, where we had the privilege of witnessing remarkable discussions and perspectives on advancing women in STEM fields. At Junior Einsteins Science Club Ltd., we were honoured to have our founder, Tracey-Jane Cassidy MA MSc, share insights on the panel, exploring the critical theme of “Encouraging girls’ development of STEM-related skills.” Empowering Women in STEM: Insights from the Women in STEM Summit 2024
Diverse Perspectives on Empowerment:
Joining Tracey-Jane were influential voices such as Jennifer McGarry., a dedicated educator from Alexandra College Junior School, Mary McMahon,Scrum Master at Fidelity Investments, and Sheila Porter, the visionary Founder & CEO of SciFest CLG. Together, they shed light on the essential need for fostering supportive environments to empower women and girls in STEM, emphasising education and mentorship.

The summit also showcased rising stars in STEM, including Jeevantika Lingalwar, the visionary Founder of International Women in Tech, Han SHAO, a dedicated Postdoctoral Researcher at Tyndall Institute, and Lieutenant Eva Finn, a trailblazing Platoon Commander at 2 Brigade CIS, Irish Defence Forces. Their stories of resilience and passion for STEM left a lasting impression, inspiring all in attendance.
The Women in STEM Summit 2024 was a testament to the ongoing commitment to empower and uplift women in STEM fields. From thought-provoking panel discussions to inspiring journeys of emerging talent, the summit highlighted the importance of diversity and inclusion in driving innovation and progress.
