That is still the heart of everything we do. No screens. All hands-on. Smooth and easy to run. A phenomenal curriculum, really broad and really deep, that enhances and strengthens any primary STEM programme a school already has.

Twelve years later, that belief has become a complete primary STEM system reaching primary school children around the world, in partnership with schools including Nord Anglia, Brooke House College Riyadh, International School Dublin, Lycée Français d’Irlande and The British School Ukraine and now many more…….  And the schools we started with twelve years ago? They still have their Junior Einsteins today. That kind of staying power doesn’t come from novelty. It comes from a system.

The real problem in school science

The challenge in STEM education has never been a shortage of brilliant ideas. Teachers are full of them. The challenge is making those ideas repeatable, sustainable and easy for every teacher to deliver, week after week, year after year.

Because here’s what happens in so many schools: one passionate teacher builds a wonderful science club, and when that teacher moves on, the whole STEM culture walks out the door with them.

What the children actually get

A brand new hands-on STEM topic every single week of term, with no repeats, for years. One week they’re dusting a forensic crime scene for evidence. The next they’re launching rockets with real countdowns. Then it’s erupting volcanoes, building buzzing robots, extracting real DNA, growing crystals, engineering bridges that hold real weight, and yes, even quantum physics.

Every 60-minute session packs in several experiments and activities. Children inquire, predict, test and discover for themselves, just like real scientists. And from their very first session, you’ll hear it proudly: “I am a Junior Einstein!”

The library now spans thirteen themed series, from Space Science to Sustainability, MedTech to Archaeology, and brand new sessions are released every month.

Teacher and Pupil Engagement

And the engagement is like nothing else. Teachers love teaching it and children love doing it, and that’s not just our opinion, it’s twelve years of proof. When Trinity College Dublin recognised our work bringing the Junior Einsteins STEM into schools with an Engaged Teaching and Learning Award, the student engagement was found to be outstanding. We already knew, of course!

A brand new topic every single week, for two-plus years

Every single week is a brand new hands-on STEM topic, three terms a year, for years, with no repeated topic anywhere.

Children make and stretch their own slime, light lightsabres with plasma balls, send rockets racing, dust a crime scene for evidence, extract real DNA, erupt volcanoes, cast fossils, grow crystals, and build glowing lava lamps and giant bubbles. They engineer bridges, kites, catapults, marble runs, periscopes, pulleys and their very own buzzing robots, and get hands-on with quantum physics, static lightning, hurricanes in a bottle, magnetism and working compasses.

They explore the human body from pumping hearts and skeletons to reflexes, lungs and digestion, take on MedTech challenges and astronaut training, and meet the living world through bioluminescence, biodiversity, bug hunts, pond life, frogs, worms and Arctic survival science. They engineer for the planet with solar ovens, wind power, clean water filters, stormproof structures, smart cities and climate missions. Add colour chemistry, sound science, soap microbiology, fire science, magical maths, archaeology digs and seasonal specials for Hallowe’en, Christmas, Valentine’s, Mother’s Day and Easter, and you have a flavour of it. And that’s not even the full list, with brand new sessions released every month.

Curriculum, enrichment, or both. Your school, your way.

Some of our partner schools run Junior Einsteins as their primary STEM curriculum. Schools following the IB, British or another national curriculum use it to enhance and strengthen their provision, making science more inquiry-based, more hands-on and deeper into every topic. Others run it as a standout after-school science club. Some do both.

And the shape is entirely yours to choose. Follow our structured weekly timetable, pick one themed series such as robotics, forensics or sustainability, run a half-term series of four to six sessions, a monthly enrichment programme across the school year, a science week rotation, or a whole-school science show that brings the wow factor to every child at once.

There’s a commercial side too, and I say this openly because good schools think about it: holiday camps and one-day camps, from Junior Astronauts to Junior Chemists, Junior Medics to Junior Engineers, give schools a ready-made way to build revenue from their own campus during the holidays, while giving families exactly the kind of enrichment they’re looking for.

What the teachers get

This is the part I’m most proud of. Every single session is fully scripted. Not a vague lesson plan, an actual script: the aim, the materials list, the timings, step-by-step instructions, safety notes, key vocabulary, Einstein Questions with answers, and the exact words to say to the children.

No science degree needed. No guesswork. And no late nights hunting for ideas, because the system saves teachers hours of preparation every single week. Aims, materials, timings, questions, safety notes and science explanations are all done. A teacher can pick up a session script and deliver it beautifully, with confidence, from day one.

Behind the scripts sits the full system: the Junior Einsteins Academy online, with training and structured learning pathways that take a teacher from their first session to confident, polished delivery. Teachers tell us it’s not just easy to deliver, it’s enjoyable to learn.

And this is where something lovely happens for school leadership. When hands-on STEM stops being a burden and becomes the highlight of a teacher’s week, wellbeing goes up, and teachers stay. Schools tell us the system doesn’t just build a science culture, it helps them keep the very teachers who create it. When teachers are confident and happy, children feel it.

Parents feel it too. Children come home talking about rockets, robotics, forensics and fossils they explored with their own hands, and that visible STEM story becomes part of what makes your school special.

A partnership, not a product

We work with a select number of international schools each year through a collaborative, strategic partnership. It’s not something we hand over and walk away from. Your teachers are trained and supported with our systems, your programme grows with our library, and your STEM provision no longer depends on any one person. If staff change, the programme simply continues.

For school leadership, that means consistency you can promise families, scalability from one club to whole-campus provision, and a STEM culture that becomes part of your school’s identity rather than a happy accident.
